Need help before your stay?

 

  • Do I need to book a tent or camper spot in advance?
    No, just come by! There’s usually space, and you’re free to choose your spot. Cabins, however, should be booked in advance.
  • How do I book a cabin?
    Send us an email or WhatsApp message with your arrival/departure date, number of guests, and preferred cabin (Astridbu, Annebu, or Telebu). You pay on arrival (cash or Norwegian card).
  • What’s included in the cabins?
    Each cabin has: Beds for 5 people (bunk bed + double sleeper sofa) Kitchen with cooktop, oven, fridge, and coffee maker Outdoor furniture + sun umbrella Clean sheets on all beds Pillows and duvets are available for rent. Showers and toilets are in the main building, 10–20 meters away.
  • Can I bring my dog?
    yes, dogs are welcome on the campsite (on a leash). However, pets are not allowed to sleep inside the cabins. Please walk them outside the grounds and clean up after them.
  • Is electricity available?
    Yes! Electric poles are available across the campsite. Need an extra extension cord? Just ask at the kiosk.
  • Are there showers and toilets?
    Yes, the main facility building has men’s and women’s bathrooms, showers, a shared kitchen, a washer and dryer, and an outdoor dishwashing area.
  • Is there Wi-Fi on site?
    Yes, we offer free Wi-Fi. The signal is strongest around the main building and reception area.
  • What about cleaning?
    Please leave your pitch or cabin tidy. Cabins are cleaned before each arrival. There are waste containers around the site for your use.
  • Where’s the nearest store?
    A 24/7 grocery store is just 1.2 km away. You can even go shopping by canoe if you like!
  • Do I need a fishing license?
    No license required! You’re free to fish in Lake Nisser — it's part of the camping experience.
  • When is the campsite open?
    Softestadcamping is open seasonally, from May to September.
